Proudly Rooted In Galion

When I talk about Building Galion’s Future, it’s personal. Galion has been my home since I was four years old, and I’ve grown up with this community through its best days and its hardest moments. I know firsthand what it feels like to take pride in our neighborhoods, our schools, and our shared traditions.

I am a proud graduate of Galion High School, one of only three in this race who can say that. That experience shaped my life. I helped found the Galion Alumni Association, and today I still march with the Tiger Alumni Band. Many of my closest friends are the same ones I first met in elementary school, and those bonds remind me every day that Galion is not just where I live. it’s home.

I’ve also had the privilege of carrying Galion’s spirit with me into larger arenas. As a member of The Ohio State University Marching Band, I had the honor of performing Script Ohio — including the first one ever done at a World Series game. That moment was unforgettable, but it wasn’t just about music. It was about teamwork, discipline, and respect for tradition. Those lessons connect directly back to what I learned growing up here in Galion. They are the same values I will bring to City Hall: working together, listening to one another, and honoring the traditions that make this community proud.

Over the years, I’ve watched Galion in its heyday and I’ve seen it endure difficult times. Through it all, one thing has remained constant, and that is the resilience of our people. That’s why even in the small things, I believe in investing here at home. Unlike at least one of my fellow candidates, my campaign signs are being printed through a local merchant because I know how important it is to keep our dollars in Galion.

I believe our next mayor should be someone who doesn’t just talk about local pride but has lived it. My roots here run deep, from the classrooms of Galion High School to Friday nights under the lights, from friendships that span a lifetime to the traditions that connect us to something bigger than ourselves.

I’m proud of Galion’s past, but I’m even more excited about its future. Together, with shared pride and determination, we can build a city that reflects the very best of who we are. That’s what Building Galion’s Future means to me, and that’s why I’m asking for your support on November 4.
