This November, Galion has the opportunity to begin healing a long-standing divide within our community.
It’s time to reunite our neighborhoods and leave behind the disparities in investment and opportunity.
Every neighborhood—east, west, north, and south—deserves equal attention, respect, and resources. That starts with meaningful infrastructure improvements and a renewed focus on quality of life.
But we can’t stop there. My administration will prioritize investment across the entire city. One way we’ll do this is by reviewing every budget presented to Council to ensure equity for all neighborhoods.
I will also champion updates to land use planning that position the east side to benefit from development along already-business zoned corridors, and to make improved housing available to the east and south sides of our community. This will include incentive-based land use tools to encourage investment by developers, something which has worked elsewhere but never tried in Galion. It’s high time we learned something new.
It’s about making sure every resident is heard, respected, and given a real voice in shaping Galion’s future.
That also means investing in the things that help neighborhoods thrive—parks, strong schools, local businesses, and family-friendly gathering spaces. These aren’t luxuries. They’re the building blocks of a livable, lasting community.
Revitalizing Galion won’t come from flashy slogans or empty promises. It will take leadership that listens, follows through, and puts people first.
